LASU to refund 50% of school fees to students with 4.5 CGPA

The Lagos State University (LASU) administration has instituted a policy of refunding 50% of tuition fees to students with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.50 in each session.

This assurance was given by Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, Vice-Chancellor (VC) of LASU, on Monday during the matriculation ceremony for the 2020/2021 students.
She stated that the strategy will encourage healthy competition among students and will require them to maintain high CGPA levels on a continual basis.

She said

We are devoted to greatness and motivated to emerge as the top university in the West African area

Our students’ welfare is top on our priorities as we will ensure that the learning environment remains conducive for learning.

My dear matriculating students, please note that the distance between matriculation and convocation ceremonies is quite wide and yet so close, it is important that the journey ends successfully.

Olatunji-Bello advised the matriculating students to be regular in attendance at lectures.

The university has zero tolerance for cultism, examination malpractices, corruption and hooliganism.
