The Nigerian Music Industry has been so far awesome this 2019. We had so many artists who made sure our ears gets pleased. From joeboy, burna boy, Fireboy dml amongst others, who gave us massive hits this year. We all know the artists behind each hit but we barely know the genius behind the production of those musics so We thought we should take a look at the Producers behind these songs.

While the likes of Killertune, Spells and Shizzi Owned 2018, alot has changed in 2019 with so many producers making hits.

Here are the top best producers of 2019 in no order

5. Sarz

If you claim not to know who sarz is, chances are you’re probably lying. The Nigerian producer has been in the game for way too long. The 30 years old Benin raised producer has been making waves in the production world with the production tag “Sarz on the Beat” or “Beat by Sarz”. He has produced so many songs for top artists like Wizkid, ice prince, scales etc. He recently released an EP titled “Sarz is not your mate” or SINYM for short and a joint EP with Wurld, a Nigerian American singer titled “I Like girls with Troble”

For what it’s worth, he ought to be on this list.

4. Ozedikus

You must have heard the tag “Ozedikus nwanem” this year especially in Rema hit single “Dumebi”. He wasn’t famous until 2019 when he produced dumebi whose beat according to him wasn’t originally meant for the song but is grateful the song gained so much love and recognition.

The Edo born producer was a church pianist and instrumentalist not until 2014 when he Started practicing his craft in a studio and 2015 Was The year he decided to pursue a music career. 2019 has been a great year for Ozedikus and we hope he does more In 2021

3. Yung Willis

When you hear the tag “Wi… wi… wi… Willis Giddem!” you know it’s about to go down. Willis is a Nigerian producer whose success in the Music Industry can’t be over looked.

He started the year on a good note when he produced the hit single “Sweet boy” by the Nigerian comic rapper Falz. He also produced the hit joint “Feel Good” by Ice prince, Falz and Phyno”. You can’t afford to listen to that song and not feel good.

Yung Willis has had an amazing year also and deserved to be on this list.

2. Kel P

With the production of burna boy’s album “African giant” in 2019 that has gained recognition internationally and has been nominated for a Grammy, some may refer to Kel P as the producer of the year. The Lagos based producer is best known for his proverbs on songs and his production tag “It’s Kel P vibes”.

While he may not have gained much recognition as the likes of Young John, Killertunes and Don Jazzy, he has worked with A List artists like Davido, burna boy and the industry is starting to take him serious. After a great success in 2019, We hope he becomes greater in 2021.

1. Pheelz

If you’ve been a fan of the Nigerian Afro music from the beginning, you’ll know Pheelz is not just coming into the game. He gained his recognition when he produced olamide’s hit singles back then “First of All” and “Durosoke” Since then, he has appeared in so many music videos and produced so many songs for A list artists like Olamide, Davido, Wizkid, vector, ice prince, MI amongst others. He has won awards for the producer of the year category at the 2013 headies.

The Lagos born producer is talented with so many instruments like Piano, Drums, Drum Machine etc and is currently signed to YBNL record label.

He is no doubt a major contribution to teni’s fame in 2019. He produced teni’s EP “Billionaire”
