Nigerian musicians Wizkid and Tems have each received five nominations for the 2021 Soul Train Awards, which will take place at the end of this month.
Wizkid and Tems were nominated in five categories apiece for the 2021 Soul Train Awards, which were revealed yesterday. The list was made public on Tuesday, November 3, 2021.
The Soul Train Awards is an annual music awards event that honors the finest of African-American culture music and entertainment. This year’s candidates are led by H.E.R, who received nods for Album of the Year and Best R&B/Soul Female Artist. With six nominations apiece, Jasmine Sullivan and Chris Brown trail H.E.R.
Wizkid and Tems are just behind with 5 nominations apiece at the 2021 Soul Train Awards. Wizkid is nominated for Album of the Year with Made in Lagos while Tems is nominated for the Best New Artist award. The duo were also jointly nominated for the Song of The Year, Video of The Year, The Ashford and Simpson songwriter’s award and Best Collaboration for the groundbreaking single, Essence.
